The College of Planning and Design and the Department of Urban Planning at National Cheng Kung University are pleased to host the 2026 Writing & Publication Workshop with Professor Justin Hollander of Tufts University, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Planning Education and Research. The workshop is designed to strengthen academic writing and international journal publication skills by combining hands-on manuscript discussion with insights from the perspective of a journal editor.
The morning Writing Workshop is intended for doctoral students at NCKU. Participants are required to submit a personal CV and an academic paper draft in advance, and small-group discussions will provide opportunities for direct feedback on their manuscripts. The afternoon Lunch & Overview of Journal Editorial Work & General Discussion is open to faculty members and master’s and doctoral students in the Department of Urban Planning. Professor Hollander will share insights into journal publication and editorial processes, common submission tips, followed by lunch and general discussion.
